God revealed to Moses about the coming Messiah from the House of Israel. Moses is used as a mirror to Jesus Christ in that as Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt, Jesus Christ will save the world from its sins by dying at the cross. Whoever rejects salvation in Christ, will be condemned to Hell (Deuteronomy 18:19)

Prophecy:

Deuteronomy 18:15,18,19. 15The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;

18I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

19And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

Nathan’s Prophecy about Jesus Christ.

Nathan, a prophet during the reign of David spoke about the everlasting Kingdom under a King from the House of David. We get to know that Nathan spoke of Jesus Christ because he said the Kingdom would be an everlasting Kingdom, an eternal one.

Prophecy:

2nd Samuel 7:12,13. 12And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. 13He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom forever.

Fulfillment

The fulfillment of Nathan’s prophecy is both Spiritual and Physical. The Spiritual Kingdom has been fulfilled already by the coming of Christ and dying on the cross. This put an end to the Old Testament and brought in the New Testament, and the release of the Holy Spirit to all believers.

The Spiritual Kingdom fulfilled:

Matthew 28:18,19. 18And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Physical Kingdom Yet to be Fulfilled in the Millennial Rule that comes after the 2nd Coming of Christ.

Revelation 21:1 “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.”

David’s Prophecy about Jesus Christ.

The Psalmist David gave us the prophecy about the coming of Jesus Christ, His betrayal and death by crucifixion. We find the prophecy in his writings in the Psalms.

Prophecy:

Psalms 2:6-8. 6Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

7I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

8Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

Psalms 22:6-8. 6But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

7All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,

8He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.

Psalms 22:16-18. 16For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

17I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.

18They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

Psalm 110:1,4. 1(A Psalm of David.) The LORD said unto my Lord, sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

4The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

Matthew 27:42,43. 42He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.

43He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.

Acts 2:33-36. 33Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

34For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

35Until I make thy foes thy footstool.

36Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

25Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:

26While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.

27When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:

28When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:

29When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:

30Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;

Fulfillment:

John 1:1-3, 10. 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

10He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

7He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

8He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
