We reign with Christ as His co-workers.
As the redeemed children of God, we reign with Christ. In the natural world, there are companies and organizations in which there are owners and shareholders. The shareholders become co-owners by virtue of their investment into the company. This investment is in terms of shares. Moreover, the shares are obtained by the amount of financial input by the investor. Subsequently, at the end of the fiscal year, after the AGM everyone gets his or her profits which are known as dividends.
Indeed, the whole scenario is likened to us as the body of Christ. We are likened to the shareholders. Moreover, it is our faith that has opened for us doors into the Kingdom. Undoubtedly, we do not pay any price to enter the Kingdom. The price was already paid at the cross on Mount Calvary. Indeed we are saved by faith through grace.
Ephesians 2:8. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:”.
Nonetheless, let us always remember that God is the Almighty ruler is this great Kingdom. God in Christ Jesus is the owner (Psalms 24:1) and is the head of the departments.
Psalms 24:1 The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
We get into the Kingdom through faith.
Unlike the earthly companies whereby your profits are determined by the number of shares you buy, in the Kingdom faith remains constant. Additionally, the Kingdom shares are our sacrifices and devotion to the Kingdom of God. The number of shares is determined by how much time we take to Minister the word of God, how many souls we bring in, how we worship, and serve in the church, how much we give (tithes, offerings and even special giving) and our prayers and fasting. As investors in the natural world get dividends, so shall we as co-workers with Christ get rewards. This will happen in the end, at the judgement seat when we stand before Christ (Matthew 16:27)
Matthew 18:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
In the company the shareholders first invest into company and the dividends come in later. Likewise, as co-workers with Christ it is our input that comes first and not our needs.
Remember that we should seek the Kingdom of God first and Its righteousness, and the rest shall be added unto us (Matthew 6:33, Luke 12:31)
Matthew 6:33. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Luke 12:31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
The Lord takes care of our needs in the process for He knows our needs even before we ask (Matthew 6:8)
Matthew 6: 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
